Tourism & Hospitality

Travel research is a race against memory. The further a guest gets from the experience, the more their account of it converges on a generic one, so timing is part of the method.

Research solutions

Research solutions for tourism & hospitality

Guest experience research

Post-stay and post-journey research fielded close enough to the experience to capture detail, across hotels, airlines, cruise and attractions.

Destination and travel behaviour

Destination choice, trip planning, booking channel and spend research among travellers recruited by trip type, market and traveller segment.

Trade and B2B research

Travel agents, tour operators, corporate travel managers and distribution partners, sampled as the distinct professional populations they are.

How we work in this sector

The Dnexus Global approach

Recency matters

We design travel fieldwork around how quickly the sample can be reached after the experience, because a two-week lag turns specific, useful feedback into a general impression. Where recency cannot be achieved, we say what it costs the data rather than pretending it is neutral.

Seasonality

Travel behaviour is seasonal, and a sample collected in one season does not describe the year. Fieldwork windows are set against that, and trackers hold their windows consistent between waves.

Multi-market by nature

Inbound tourism research means fielding in source markets, in their languages, to people who may have travelled months ago. That is coordination work, and it is what our global fieldwork operation exists for.
